The French National Day Review

|
|
Accurately at 8 o'clock PM CET everything started. The revolution at euRO had begun and at the sign of the Revolution Hat many brave soldiers of Rune Midgard stormed the Bastille to fight for the dream of freedom.
|
The king gave everything he had to defend himself against the soldiers and a long fierce fight broke out in the castles of Prontera. Both sides lost heavily but the Revolution wasn't to stop and so the soldiers got more and more deeper into the castles till they finally reached the King. He couldn't get the fact of his defeat and sent out with his last power the fighters of his elite to destroy the city of Prontera. The brave soldiers were caught off guard from the power of this elite troops and got many losses. But in the end they repressed the elite fighters and finally defeat them. A huge battle was going to reach its climax and the brutal tyranny of the king endet. Prontera is peaceful again and everyone knows that the fighters of Rune Midgard will be forearmed when another tyrant accedes to the throne.

In generally speaking the event was welcomed from nearly all participants of euRO with comments like "yes yes it's fun but very hard" or "event was fun, and many persons join it". That's really giving hope to the Event Team for Events in the near future.
But every event has its down sides too. Some players on euRO were charged about that expensive headgear because a few players were not able to make it or even to buy it at that horrible high prices they were sold.
|
A few other reactions about the event:
"It was funny and didn't lagg so much this time during the 'Storm of the Bastille'-Event."
"This Event was great! Thanks to the Team, especially the french GMs."
"The Quiz was great, because it contained so many hard and interesting questions(maybe some of them were too difficult). The battle in the castles were cool, but the hat looks a bit ugly."
"I didn't like the fact that you needed the Revolution Hat for participating in the 'Storm of the Bastille'-Event. There were only 2 days time to make the headgear and people who had to work on these days had no chance to participate in this 'Storm'-Event."
"I didn't like on this event that Chars with not so much money weren't able to participate on the 'Storm of the Bastille'-Event, because they weren't able to afford the prizes of the Hat."
The NPC Quiz
It was a challenge for everyone, no matter what age. 10 questions of a relatively different sections where asked to the citizens of midgard. A very good amusement for everyone who thought himself/herself knows a lot about France or who took time for doing researches about France on the internet. The winner of the Quiz gained different Potions(Blue, White and Red ones) as prizes.
There were only posivite reactions about the Event apart from a few exceptions who gave up participating because of the quite difficult questions.
A comment that we were wondering about:
"The 1. problem is that the monsters were pretty bad for wizards. so much water-, holy- and dark-elements. The second: to less mvp's in the castle. And the worst: the baphos at the end because of their mass-damage and because the spawning-'routine'. It's like a spit in the face for everyone who tried to follow the 'order' about not precasting etc. In every other situation the gm's want that the user follow their orders but if you do it, you just got killed this time. And because of the mass-damage ... no cast possible. so it was pretty fucked up for wizzis at all."
...so the conclusion is, that the Event-Team never can make it prefect! First everyone criticized that these spawn-Events are only for wizards and now with that monsters the wizards are complaining. Poor Event-Team!
