We take the protection of individual-related data very seriously. We would like you to know when which data is being saved and how it is being used. As company under private law, we are especially liable to the clauses of the German Data Protection Act (BDSG) and to the German Telemedia Act (TMG). We have taken technical and organisational action in order to assure that the prescriptions regarding the protection of personal data will be respected by us and by external service providers that are working for us.
Personal data
Individual-related data consists of information that can be used to find out about your identity. Among them, information like your real name, address, postal address, telephone number are counted. Information that do not directly relate to your true identity (such as for example favourite websites or the number of users of one site) are not counted among them.
You can basically use parts of our online service (website) without disclosing your identity. However, if you want to take part in the game itself, we will ask for your name and other personal information. Required are the following information which you have to specify truthfully for being able to take part in the game:
- surname
- forename
- date of birth
- country of location
- your e-mail address
You can check the data you saved at our website anytime by writing an e-mail to
datenschutz@bhi-oe.de.
In case the submitted data contains untrue details, we reserve the right to delete your account data anytime. Aleady completed preliminary payments on your part will expire in that case and will not be refunded. Please implicitly notice our general

Your data is being saved on exceptionally protected servers in Germany. Access to them is only granted to specially authorised employees who are familiar with the technical, commercial or editorial supervision of the servers and the game.
In connection with your access, data for security reasons are being saved on our servers that potentially permit an identification (for example IP address, date, time and visited pages on our webservers). No individual-related utilisation takes place in that case. The right for a statistical analysis of anonymised data records is reserved.
IP addresses are being saved for a period of 28 days at anonymous use. Saving results from reasons of data security in order to ensure stability and operation reliability of our system. Data required for accounting is excluded from limited storage.
Regarding the provision of data for the usage of third parties, access to saved individual-related data is not given to third parties. Only BURDA-ic is permitted to maintain aforementioned data.
Transmission of individual-related data to third parties
In case of participation in the game, we only use your personal data within BURDA-ic, as well as within associated companies. We do not forward personal data to third parties without your explicit approval. If data is being submitted to service providers in the context of commissioned data processing, the data is bound to the BDSG, to other legal prescriptions and contractually bound to the privacy policy of BURDA-ic. As far as we are obliged by law or judicial decree, we will transfer your data to authorities entitled to receive information.
Articles in our discussion forums are open to the public (for reading). You should carefully review your posts before publishing whether they include information not intended for public. You have to face that your posts are included in search engines and accessible even without specifically addressing our website throughout the world. Deletion or correction of such entries often cannot be achieved at foreign operating companies.
Right of Withdrawal
In case you left individual-related data to us, you can delete them anytime. Data for billing and accounting purposes will not be affected by the cancellation or deletion.
Use of Cookies
In some areas of our service we use cookies for realising user functions. We point that out for you at the relevant areas. On certain pages, announcements are directly provided by companies or agencies. In those cases, cookies are possibly used without us being able to advise you of them.
Using our services without cookies is limited. Most browsers are preset to auomatically accepting cookies. However, you can deactivate the saving of cookies or set your browser to notify you as soon as cookies are sent.
The following information are saved within the cookies we compose:
- Your login information
- The ID you registered with us
- A so-called HASH which consists of the aforementioned two and a date which is only saved with us
- Further area specific setup data
Children
Persons younger than 18 should not submit individual-related data to us without approval of parents or parental guardian. However, you have to specifiy your date of birth during the registration process. Special functions are disabled for persons below 18. For example, paying with credit card (in Germany) is not possible for persons younger than 18.
Links to other websites
Our online service contains links to other websites. We have no bearing on whether their service providers respect the privacy terms.
