patch news Before installation please make sure that you have at least 800 MB of free disk space. Every time you run "Ragnarok.exe", the newest patches will be downloaded automatically. These patches are including bug fixes, extensions of the game and much more. After the download of the patches is finished you can read the newest notice regarding events and common information for the game. Pressing the "StartGame" button will lead you to the login screen, where you can login into the game using your user id and password. In case that you are not registered, you are able to register button via the register button, which can be found on the login screen, too.

Now you are able to choose the server you like to play on. First time you log in you will see three empty slots for your characters.

You are free to choose between 36 Hairstyles and 8 Haircolors for your character. You are able to give your character some abilities from the start, which are expandable during the game:

Ability Description

• STR (Strength) - Effects your attack strength and the weight you are able to carry
• AGI (Agility) - Effects your attack speed and dodge
• VIT (Vitality) - Effects hit points, own damage (non magic) HP recovery speed
• INT(Intelligence) - Effects magical attack strength, magical skill recovery
• DEX(Dexterity) - Effects accuracy rate and weapon damage
• LUK(Luck) - Effects critical attack rate, perfect dodge

After creating your character you will spawn (appear) in the world of Midgard as a Novice.

You stand before the Training Academy. Just go into it. We really suggest that you choose to participate in the Training Academy because you will learn a lot of things about Midgard that will be very helpful later on in the game. If you choose Direct Access you have no chance to go back and do the training so be sure to think carefully about this.
