Here you will find some information which you should fine useful for your first steps into the world of Midgard, just to make things a little easier to get straight to the fun.

You will find here very basic Tips. More detailed ones you will see for example in the forum and in the guides on our webpage.

First some general information about Ragnarok Online. All this kind of information you will find as well in our FAQ. As always if you have questions please look at the FAQ first we have tried to cover everything.

Ragnarok Online is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG). This means that you play in an online world where thousands of other people play altogether at the same time. This kind of world is often known as a "persistent world", which means that it changes all the time even if you are not playing the game.

After the registration you can play for free for 7 days (s. FAQ). When this time is up you are free to decide if you want to pay for playing. In that case you are able to choose between 30 hours, 1 month, 3 month, 6 month and 12 months playtime. The 30 hour subscription allows you to play 30 real play time which you can distribute over weeks even month if you like. When you pay for the first time your will get additional 7 free days.

The reasons for the monthly fee are that firstly you don't have to purchase any CD to play the game, it is free. Secondly any new content for the game is free and thirdly we have to keep a check on the server set-up and operation 24 hours a day to ensure you have the best playing experience.

The game will continue to grow and there will always be something new to discover and new maps to explore. Exploration is always a huge part of a MMORPG game.

Now to the game Ragnarok itself.

Please remember all the time that you can always ask questions if you are not sure what to do. This is a huge advantage of these types of games because you are playing with other people, you can see them and chat to them freely so you are never alone.

Try as often as you can to play with other players together. In a Party the game is much more fun and of course you will have it much easier.

You are able to register trough the web site and the Register button on the login screen in the game. During the registration you will choose an account name (UserID) and set your email address, where you password will be sent to. With your UserID and password you can access all the functions at this homepage.
