Lighthalzen - The peak of light, the shadow of darkness July 19th, 2006
Now that Einbroch has been fully discovered, King Tristan III wants to send out brave explorers and adventurers on July 27th in order to find out more about Lighthalzen, the rumoured city of bright golden gleam and dark scarred shadows. Unite under his banner and help the government of Rune Midgard to find out more about the arcane ruins of Juperos and the mysterious business of the Rekenber Company. Join the teams that will travel to Lighthalzen on July 27th and be among the first who will discover the secrets of the republic!
Around 500 years ago, the small mountain village Lighthalzen had been bought and completely changed by a scientifically orientated company. The lively city now is one of the most important economical centers of the Schwartzwald Republic and in its restricted city center, the laboratory of the Rekenber Company is located where strange experiments are being held without the knowledge of the people. Rumours say that in one of the deserted parts of the laboratory, the restless souls of the victims of the experiments are still wandering around seeking revenge.

Who are those people, blinded by the light,
who can't even recognize their own shadows?
        Only where light is, darkness can exist.
Who will be the bringer of light and who the minion of the shadows?

Lighthalzen is said to be an 'environment-friendly and human-friendly city' which was completely constructed by the Rekenber Corp.. Characteristic are its wide and straight roads that divide the commercial section in the North from the souther residential section.

In the North, there's the central place of economy and commerce with the office of Rekenber Corp., the magnificient Airship via which you can reach Lighthalzen from Juno, the bank and trade centers. In the South, tourists can find the Rekenber Hotel, nice squares and parks. Guards of Rekenber take care of the security, the Merchant Guild is near the train station at which the train from Einbroch arrives.

'Research on God, convenient life for people, research on ancient remains.'
Rekenber is searching for knowledge and they will keep on searching for the ancient remains to satisfy their thirst for knowledge and to give the convenient life to all citizens. They want to approach God and their basic principle is the research on 'God'. Thus, they study humans and magic systematically and analytically in order to redefine magic with the human knowledge. Humans should analyze the magic and the mysterious powers behind in order to use them for their convenience.
With the 'ancient remains', they want to contribute innovatively to the development of Midgard.

Juperos Dungeon

South-eastern of Juno, there are also references to another forgotten town, Juperos. The ruins of the once progessive area show as a warning for future generations that science can fail as well, Juperos is just one of many victims. In the Dungeon of Knowledge below the town, courageous adventurers can prove their fighing spirit and compete with broken roboters.

But it is not easy to reach the four floors of the mysterious and dark realm. Only with keys that are guarded by several monsters, the adventurers can reach the core of the dungeon.
The former inhabitants of Juperos could only reach the second floor, but if you are clever enough to break the devices that keep the third floor shut, you can reach the places with stronger monsters and the core with the mysterious ruler of Juperos.

New areas, quests and monsters

Around 40 new monsters will haunt the brave and courageous adventurers on almost 30 new maps in dungeons and on plain fields. In the Rekenber Biolabs, mysterious doppelgangers of Merchants, High Wizards or Snipers will try to keep you away from walking through their homes.
MVPs stronger than ever heard of will make your lives harder, but together with your friends, you will for sure be able to defeat them and discover their secrets - but be careful, Eremes, Kathryne and their companions won't show mercy towards the weak...

If you've had enough of slaying monsters, you should try some of the new quests all around Lighthalzen and find out more about the secrets of the city of light and the close connection to the darkness.

NPC Illustrations added

Besides new Lighthalzen Kafras, also a few already known NPCs will receive wonderful illustrations. Try to talk to Bacardi in Morroc, the snowman in Lutie or all Job Change NPCs and take a look at the illustrations that have been added to them.

New skills and skill reset

For a few Rebirth classes, new skills will be available in order to increase their power whilst fighting for the sake of Rune Midgard. Since the Skill Reset NPC in Juno has been removed, there will be two Hypnotists who can take care of your skill reset needs.
The first Hypnotist is located in Prontera for all first class jobs of lvl 40 and below and the second Hypnotist is located in Juno for advanced classes of lvl 70 and above.

The new skills for advanced classes include a powerful shield attack for the Paladin, Ganbatein for the High Wizard and many more for White Smith, Professor, Gypsy/Clown and Creator. Go ahead and test the efficiency of those powerful abilities.

Homunculus

To all Alchemists and Biochemists who have studied the bioethics for a long time: finally the news Homunculus system has been fully discovered so all of you can hatch an own little fellow, your personal Homunculus. In total, you can choose from four different kinds: Either you choose the sheepish Amistr, the bird Filir, the little fairy Lif or the wobbling Vanilmirth.

In order to create one or many of those, you have to visit the respective NPCs that will teach you the basic Homunculus creation skill. Afterwards, all other Homunculus-related skills will appear in your skill menu. You can create as many Germination Breeds for Homunculi as you want. For that, you need the "Normal Potion Create Book" and a few items.

The Homunculus will always be on your side and fight together with you against all monsters. When he reaches a higher level, you can teach him special Homunculus skills and who knows, maybe your Homunculus will be among the strongest in Midgard?

Headgears and Armory

With Lighthalzen, new armors, weapons and headgears will be added to the variety of possible gears for everyone. Regarding armor, especially Novices will have a lot of fun with their new amazing armors. Around 40 new weapons for all classes will make slaying monsters even more interesting by testing their powers.
May it be the mysterious Gae Bolg spear for Knights, Loki's Nail, the amazing new Katar weapon for Assassins or the Burning Passion Guitar for Bards - the new weapons will for sure help you to become stronger, you just need to go and find them, now!

And with the new headgears, you can find your very own new style by being the first to mix a Red Bonnet or to find a Banana Hat (just go and look for some apes, you should know where to find them!). Whether you decide for the evil Zealotus Mask or the cute Puppy Headband - be trendy and get the ones you've always wanted!

New hairstyles

For all trendy adventurers among you, four new hairstyles for ladies and four new hairstyles for lads will be implemented. Visit the hairstyle changer in Lighthalzen if you want to test the new styles on your characters or use them while creating a new hero.

New emoticons

Did you always want to play a game of dices against your friends? Or were you always missing an emoticon to express a deep, sorrowful sigh when you died although your Priest was standing right next to you?
Test the six new emoticons and extend your repertoire of expressing different moods with /sigh, /spin, /dice and many more.

Acolyte Arena

In the Izlude Arena, a new special part only for Acolyte class has been added. The role of this class is not only to support, but they can as well use their Heal in an offensive way or kill masses of undead with Turn Undead and Magnus Exorcismus.

In this special arena part, Priests can train their offensive skills and get to know the value of Kyrie Eleison, Pneuma and Holy Light. The arena is divided into 7 sections that mostly contain undead monsters and you have to finish all the sections within 8 minutes.
