The sun is mercilessly burning down on you, the next holidays are still far, far away, the light summer breeze in Amatsu whispers a tragic story about those who lost all their energy while sleeping in the sun - and all you want to do is lie down a little until the next ice-cream wafer magically lands into your mouth? Don't you think there are better things you could do in this awesomely hot and fantastic summer? Then we have the perfect formula against your lethargy - the fabulous Midgard Summer Festival!

You think you've already joined all possible events, slaughtered all monsters, joined every single party in Midgard? Then let us show you that this summer, a never-known variety of new and lively events, invasions, meetings, sprees and parties will astonish you. Every day will bring something new, the event team really made up their minds and will do their best to contribute to your well-being and bring you the only thing that matters: fun!
The exact times of the events are not stated yet, since the event team spontaneously wants to decide when it's time for some ice-cream, monsters or catching riddles. Please check the news now and then, watch out for ingame broadcasts and keep yourselves informed.
Now some information for those of you who can't await to join our events: The main place for the festivals will be the city of wonderful beach parties and breathtaking fireworks: Comodo! During the next two weeks, special catering NPCs will mix tasty cocktails for you and sell typical beach snacks. Feel free to drink some and fill your stomach with the tasty food!

Thursday, 20.07.2006 afternoon Loki/Chaos: Yummie Ice Cream
As a cool introduction of our festival, we would like to cover the whole Comodo beach with yummy ice cream. But since the creamy sweetness would probably melt away faster than you could say "ice cream", we'd of course prefer if you were there in order to eat all of it! Come to Comodo and watch out for hints on the locations of event team members that will give out ice cream, solve the riddles you will be given and watch out if there's not a monster that could loot the ice cream before you can get it!
After you've filled your tummies with all the tasty ice cream, it's time to train a bit so that you don't get too sleepy.

Friday is the day most people really love, because it marks the beginning
of the weekend. On Fridays, work ends earlier and with your heart and
mind, you are already back home and relaxing from the stressful week or
cooking some nice dinner for your family or going to the party with that
handsome guy next door.
The event team would like to say "welcome to the weekend" and enjoy the
beginning of some hopefully work-free days together with you.

This event is especially dedicated to all loving parents. All those of you who have some children ingame should know the following situation: You as parents want to go on a comfy shopping trip over the weekend market on Loki, but your children simply don't want to stay with you! They run around, play tricks on each other, ask you to buy them strange stuff like a Critical Hybrid Hard-Working Saber and simply don't listen to you. Well, on the 22nd of July, you can simply send your little midgets to the
childrens' playground at the weekendmarket and fully enjoy the variety of proffered goods! Don't worry, we will take care of your little ones and we bet that afterwards, they will be tired enough so that you can enjoy a silent evening together with your love!

Watch out all! We are starting a hide and seek event full of riddles in these lazy, crazy and hazy days of summer. A team of GMs will show up in Midgard on both servers at unknown times. Sometimes we will give you clues about where they might be hiding! You have the riddles? Then give them the answers. You can be the lucky one and win some sweet little prizes!
What you need to do is check the website often to see this news online. Once its online, it means the GMs are hiding in Midgard from you! In this news document, we will provide you the riddles. Below you can check the time and the maps clues to find a hiding GM. Solve the riddles, find the GM at the given locations, pop into his chat-room and get your prize!

Tuesday, 25.07.2006 (around 17 CET) loki/chaos: Thief Alice
Once there was a poor Alice, who happened to be an orphan long time ago, forced to raised herself in the cruel world of Midgard. She had noone to look for her, noone to teach her anything about life, noone to embrace or listen to her. So she somehow tried to make her way out of the jungle and was living her life with an ignorance. One day, while wandering in the deep green forests, she met a Goblin. The Goblin was clever, a subtle animal, with the dodgy grin he had, he was the one that ruled that part of the forest, with an offensive way of living, burglary at its best. As soon as a little chat occured between these two, the Goblin found a way to get into Alice's mind, he thought oh what a chance that would be... her sweet looks can appeal every humans heart, just as the fast hands and the illusion she causes while stealing some precious stuff out of their bags.. Goblin offered a smart deal to the Alice, protection and wisdom she will be getting in return of precious goods of humans she pilfered once in a while. Days and weeks passing, little Alice managed to collect many items... Many armors, hats and even precious stones. With every item she stole, she became better at her craft... A time came when she was not stealing for the Goblin anymore, she was stealing to satisfy her hunger of excitement, to fill her empty cold heart with a little agony. All the other Goblins now where admiring her skills and her coldbloodness to manage such dangerous tasks... when she even achieved stealing from the Gamemasters. She became a quite an issue between GMs who lost their backpack, knife or shirt many times, everybody back then was aware of the little Alice that rocked the world of Midgard with her astonishing burglary skills and because of the discomfort she caused.
As she become a celebrity around Midgard, her once master was quite annoyed about the whole scene. Alice was storming the GM cribs and left nothing behind when this was making the Goblin frustrated. She was nor listening to him neither bringing the items back to him. He was wondering where her stash may be. After all the things she taught to Alice, he felt betrayed in a way, but it was too late to consider that Alice's heart can not be caged. The Goblin then, with the experience of the years, wanted to erase the Alice out of Midgard, he prepared a con for the Alice, to keep her in control and to stop her burglary frenzy that threatens his own goals. On a silent and warm summer night, he sent the Alice a message to meet him in a room, he told her that it was important and he had a great burglary plan to own Midgard and make a historic burglary of all times, that will be talked for years. Alice was thrilled with the news, her blood boiled of excitement of a harder task of robbery, to feel a top exctacy of action. When she arrived to the room, she saw the Goblin sitting there with a mysterious grin. As he was telling the plan to the Alice, he was walking back and forth in the room, close to the door, keeping Alice's attention and drifting her into the dreams of excitement and new items. But within seconds, what was meant to be happened. The Goblin raged with the feelings he so long kept inside and locked the Alice in this sealed room of misery, a room where you can get in only with a parole, a sentence, which has no way to go outside of.
The revenge time it was. Goblin sent a news to all inhabitants of the Midgard and to the GMs, saying he catched the Alice. While he was rewarded for this action so called wisdom, Alice was left in this sealed no-way-out room. So the GM's who wanted to get their precious items back so much, thought about a plan to get these back. So the Goblin says to the ones who lost their items; "Find Pompei in Midgard. He will tell you what to do to reach to the Alice. Once you follow Pompei's orders, you will be taken to many places that will open the magical seal of Alice's room. One by one, collect the paroles and once you collect all you will manage to find the room. Create a meaningful sentence out of the parole and write it as an input on the last door. Once you do it, you will be taken to Alice's sealed room. Kill the burglar and get the GM's items back. Once you get the GM's items, take them back to the actual owner who will be waiting at PTO. You will be rewarded with a Poring doll, 2 OCA, 2 OBB and 10 free warp tickets. Hard quest, hai. But the pleasure will be priceless."
Alice meanwhile is waiting and crying her heart out at this little dark room, no idea about what will happen to her in the next unfortunate days..

Expetition
New features, updates, new skills, new hair styles and hats that comes to
the game with episode 10.2 can be discussed and informations will be swapped. We will create GM and event team driven tutorial parties and will visit Lighthalzen for a sightseeing tour. Warps are free. Everybody can join.

Alice&Zealotus event
Open your eyes wide to see a talking Alice or Zealotus in towns, as there may be many of them. But what we are really looking for is the real Alice and Zealotus, not the fakes. If you spot them, ask them the place of the real Alice and Zealotus. If you ask them this sweet enough, they can PM you the parole you need. Find out to which city the parole is connected to and immediately go there! You will also be bumping into another Alice and Zealotus in 4 cities. Learn the city you need to go from each of them and collect your paroles. Once you collect all 4 paroles, these fake Alice and Zealotus will tell you where to go. Then you will be able to meet the real Alice and Zealotus. The real pets will ask you for your paroles and if they are right, you will be winning many Alice and/or Zealotus taming items! Yay!

Here is the fabulous cooling down activity for the summer days, bungee jumping. Special warps will be offered by event team priests for all the people, on where we end up after jumping to go to the bungee jumping place again. Mobsters will be joining us on the way to their beach chill-out. Sushi will be served. Now that is what we call the summer rumble!
