When the childrens' minds are still open for the mysteries of the magical world they live in, parents tell them about the Lord of Death who resides in Niflheim and rules the souls of the dead with an iron fist. His royal residence is built of fear, pain and sorrow. But... have your parents told you about his love, the Lady of Death as well?

Once upon a time, there was a little girl whose parents had as well narrated the story about the Lord of Death. But instead of fear, the girl only felt pity for the poor being she thought the Lord had to be. She grew up and at the age of sixteen, she had become a beautiful young lady with a voice as lovely as the wind in Amatsu, as dulcet as the surge of the sea near Morroc and as strong as the will of the brave adventurers.

She had sung many joyous songs, but one day, she learned one that was so sad she immediately had to think of the Lord of Death. In that night, she decided to bring the happiness of her songs to Niflheim and its dreaded ruler.
All alone, she went to Niflheim and started to sing. She didn't have to wait long until the Lord of Death, all consumed by self-pity and sorrow, appeared. She could see below the armor right inside his heart and with her songs, she eased his pain. Thereafter, the Lord of Death fell in love with her and appointed her the Lady of Death as only she was able to keep him grounded and help him govern the dead.
The Lady of Death one day watched a group of adventurers die on their way to Niflheim and she asked the Lord of Death if he couldn't ease their pain like she eased his. Becalmed by her voice, the Lord wove a charm that could decrease the death penalty by 50%, but the Lady was not happy with it - and in the end, the Lord gave in and his magic will now completely remove the loss of EXP when you die!
The magic of the Lord of Death will reach the realms of Midgard on May 23rd and you will not loose EXP when dying for two weeks as long as it lasts.
Have fun on euRO!
