Arunafeltz, devout nation of the Goddess Freya August 3rd, 2007
In the first half of the year, King Tristan III. sent out a troop of scientists and explorers who had heard of a nation that is living in great devotion and dedicating all its doings to the mightful Goddess Freya.
The brave adventurers return now from their long journey to the north-western end of the world and they bring aong many exciting stories for the people in Rune Midgard - as well as the knowledge about a new kind of magic that will soon change the lives of many people as the PTO is planning to make it probably possible to travel to Arunafeltz with all its mystic secrets on August 16th...

Rachel, holy center of divine Might

Once upon a time, the nation Arunafeltz which lies west of the Schwaltzvald Republic, was not more than fallow wasteland with few and far between settlements and hearty, but rural people. However, one day the Goddess Freya caught sight of the country after a long journey and she decided to adopt the people there as her nation.

She talked to them and her holy words brought great change to the lies of the inhabitants of Arunafeltz: touched by the warmth of the mightful Goddess, they swore to honor and adore her forever, building up an immense temple as her house of worship. The faith and fervor of Freya's followers proved to be infectious and the entire nation of Arunafeltz eventually converted to this new faith. Religion had become the most important aspect of their lives and with the aid of their belief and their effort, the people built up the city of Rachel around the temple that soon developed as lively and influential city.

Rachel is now the nation's capitol and center for both political and religious issues. Despite the masses of people there, the city is a peaceful oasis of great natural beauty with the wide savanna fields directly in front of the gates. Rachel can be reached via the airship that travels between Izlude and Juno.

New Dungeons: Holy Ground and Ice Dungeon

In order to reach the Holy Ground below the Rachel Sanctuary north of Rachel, the players first have to pay a certain fee to the Priestess Nemma. As soon as enough has been donated, the brave ones can enter the dungeon below Freya's Temple, solve tricky mysteries there and defeat the powerful MVP Gloom-Under-Night.

North-east of Rachel furthermore lies the frosty Ice Dungeon with its cold monsters and somberly glowing ice shards. Deep in the darksome cavern, there are some secrets buried below the ice that are waiting for brave adventurers to reveal them. If they dare to travel deeper into the cave, Ice Salamander Ktullanux is waiting for challengers who want to defeat him...

For further information regarding the new monsters that are living there, please read the Change log.

Slot Enchant System

The inhabitants in Rachel cultivate a mystic tradition allowing them to magically enchant normal weapons and pieces of equipment and thus make them more powerful. Seiyablem, a specialist from Rachel, can be found in Prontera, Payon, Morroc and Lighthalzen soon and then, he can add additional slots to some of your weapons and equipment.

The items that can be enhanced with a further slot are divided into the classes C (cheap and easy to refine), B, A and S (extremely hard and expensive). There is a certain chance that the addition of a further slot will fail - in that case, the item will be lost! According to rumours, there is an absolutely rare chance that while enhancing an item, two slots will be added, but until now, King Tristan III. could not confirm this.

Further information regarding the slot enchant system can be found in the Change log.

Further Changes

With Episode 11.1, there will as well be new headgears for all fashion-conscious adventurers which will partly be added as drops from certain monsters and partly have to be created with many different ingredients (such as for example the Feather Beret which will especially benefit the WoE players). Furthermore, talented mastersmiths have in total created 16 different equipment sets that will be of great use for their wearers.

Mystic itemsets can grant special bonuses to the players and fortify certain skills or attributes, such as Morpheus's which awards the wearer amongs others 20% more SP! Furthermore, there is a special set for Novices and some sets composed of two items that are useful for special classes.

There will as well be some changes regarding the monster distribution and the EXP rates of some well-known enemies. Those are as well listed in the changelog.
