All about Guilds - Homepage Contest Winners!

"It was a hard choice...", an official judge from King Tristan III told the PTO last night when the King arose his voice in order to finally choose the winner of the 2007 PTO Homepage Contest in line with the 'All about Guilds' events.

"Futhermore, his Majesty does not really appreciate the usage of the Internet... not surprising at all thinking of his age. He would have preferred to honor a Guild that fought against ferocious monsters... but since they all do that, it'd have been a little hard to actually do so."

The official handed over a sealed envelope and a huge trophy on which the name of the winner was engraved. He bowed and then, misplaced in his precious robes and powdered wig in the middle of the usual piles of paper in the Prontera Tourism Office, left hurriedly.
The PTO had sent out a trustworthy Knight with a speedy PecoPeco who had carried an evenlope with the URLs of five Homepages that, in the eyes of the PTO, all qualified for the first place and the treasured trophy. With the help of Sir Luno, King Tristan III looked at the pages last night, discussed with his loyal servant Alice and sent back a final decision.
The tension was rising when one of the PTO employees broke the seal and read out the King's decision:
"I am highly amazed to see such a wide variety of different pages with truely wonderful contents, functions and designs. If only my servants put so much effort in governing the state as the brave adventurers do for presenting themselves..."
As honoring only one among the 22 guilds seemed unfair to the PTO and King Tristan III, they decided to hand out a few special trophies beside the goblet for the overall winner. All guilds will soon find a few little presents on their leaders' accounts:
- Participating guilds will receive: Union of Tribe 5ea, Old Blue Box 15ea, Old Violet Box 5ea, Old Card Album 1ea, Yggdrasilberry 20ea, Piece of Cake 70ea.
- Awarded guilds will receive: Union of Tribe 10ea, Old Blue Box 20ea, Old Violet Box 10ea, Old Card Album 2ea, Yggdrasilberry 30ea, Piece of Cake 70ea.
- The winner will receive: Union of Tribe 15ea, Old Blue Box 30ea, Old Violet Box 15ea, Old Card Album 3ea, Yggdrasilberry 50ea, Piece of Cake 70ea.
First of all, the page of the Guild Miracle on Loki will be honored. The internationality and the amazing menues as well as the stylish design and the game "Miracle GM Hunt" persuaded us to grant the Guild the Award for Design.

Furthermore, the page of the Guild Elements on Chaos will be honored. The page captivates with multimedia functions such as Elements TV, an Elements mousepad, the amazing WoE videos, the patcher and wallpapers. Furthermore, the design is pretty as well, the guild history is nicely made and the page is up-to-date. We herewith award Elements with the Award for Multimedia

We as well want to honor a page we really liked due to the idea behind: the page of the euRO Party Committee promises many fun events in the hopefully near future. We would like to support the idea of organizing parties on both euRO servers and as the PTO as well likes design and contents of the page, the Award for Idea & Content is absolutely justified.

Before we now announce the overall winner of the Homepage Contest, we would like to apologize that we can't honor every guild. As every page is special on its own, each of them has earned a special award - may it be for design, for content such as the Guild's history, for the way the members are introduced or for funny comics and screenshots. Please consider that we had to make decisions that included various aspects of the guild homepages and that your Guild's page is nevertheless a wonderful creation displaying your Guild and representing the Ragnarok Online spirit. The PTO is currently planning to prepare a special Guild Section in the Community part of the Homepage where all Guilds will again be mentioned and where every now and then, one or another Guild will be featured with events such as an interview or pictures.
We kindly ask you to give us some time for that - please don't be disappointed if you haven't won this time!
And now to the overall winner of this contest:
As already mentioned, it was a hard decision and we took our time to exhaustively browse through every page. In the end, we chose a page that stunned us with its variety of content, with its design and with the feelings communicated through the page. Please rise your voices and jubilate for the Guild Aurora on Loki and its amazing Homepage!
Not only the Guild's history can be found there, but as well interviews with the members, the meaning of the name Aurora, a wide variety of screenshots, a frequently visited forum, a shoutbox, the Guild's rules, events... and everything surrounded by a highly functional, pretty and stylish design with cool menues. We proudly honor Aurora with the Award for the overall Winner of the Homepage Contest 2007.

We now kindly ask Aurora's leader Togra to tell us as soon as possible whether or not he or someone else from Aurora will be there at the Games Convention 2007 in Leipzig. Why that? As promised earlier this year, the Guild will besides the ingame prizes receive a real trophy with the Guild's name and emblem on it. Please send an e-mail to Sir Luno, the Poring.
