1. Every citizen has the right of the free development of his own personality in Rune Midgard, as far as he or she does neither violate the rights of other people nor the following rules:
2. All citizens are equal regarding those rules. Female and male characters are equal. No one may be discriminated or preferred regarding his or her sex, descent, race, language, home and derivation, belief, religious and political points of view.
3. Everyone has the right to freely express and publish his or her opinion orally, in written form or in pictures.
4. Those rules are restricted towards the prescriptions of general rules as described below, in the legal clauses regarding the protection of youth and the respective national laws.
I. Enforcement
1a. The Prontera Tourism Office is responsible for the enforcement of these and the following rules.
1b. Violation of the rules are being avenged by GMs primarily. GMs are authorised to jail citizens, ban them temporarily or entirely from the game.
1c. In case of a permanent ban, all former payments will expire, the characters will be frozen, zeny and items will be deleted. (see our Terms and Conditions for that issue).
1d. A citizen who has been banned permanently by GMs has no right of compensation or claim for refund of his prepaid payments according to the Terms and Conditions.
1e. The instructions of a GM have to be obeyed in any case.
II. Hearing/Objection
2a. Everybody has the right for a hearing on the part of the below-mentioned Master Game Master if they feel unfairly treated by the Administration of the Prontera Tourism Office.
2b. The applicant has to request the hearing with screenshots, a description of the incident (in electronical form) and a detailed proposal with the desired result.
2c. Decisions of the Master Game Masters are definite and not refutable.
III. MGM
3a. One or two MGM are responsible for each language area. Information on who is responsible can be found on the EURO-RO website (GM-Info).
3b. The MGM is responsible for the GMs of his language area who are in turn responsible for the operation of Rune Midgard. The GMs are members of the Prontera Tourism Office and therefore, they have particular authorities.
I. Behaviour in General
1. Be fair or Don't do anything, which you don't want others do upon you: Be fair regarding every aspect of the game. When it comes to trading: Be fair as well, so that everyone has equal chances of fun in the game.
2. Don't pretend to be another person: Please be yourself (your character), don't try to be someone else. You should especially never try to be another player, a GM or an employee of a company related to euro-ro.
3. Don't insult or accuse other players: For being able to design a friendly and for all players comfortable gaming environment, you should never insult or accuse other players.
4. Don't spread rumours: Always stay with the truth! If you spread rumours about other characters, players or GMs, you can even become liable for it if someone you have spread bad rumours about sues you.
5. Don't scream "Heal plz!" or the like: You should always use complete and correct sentences. So if you need a "Heal", you can ask politely: "Could you please heal me?". Some players react very huffy on incomplete sentences, especially regarding expressions like "plz". The correct word is "please" and not "plz". If you ask friendly for something, someone will for sure help you. Please do not beg, just ask politely, but always keep the following in mind: Everyone has the right to just say "No!" and to not help.
7. Be friendly and polite: As long as you stay friendly and polite, other players will also react friendly towards you.
8. Operators of official fansites: Operators of official fansites have an increased responsibility and they should take care that the rules are being followed on their websites as well.
II. Many Cultures - one World
Don't discriminate: Never use a name for a character or guild that insults or discriminates people regarding their complexion, race, belief, derivation, language, political or religious views. We all try to have fun together. We are a european server and as such, we have players from all 44 european countries.
Regarding this issue, we are merciless: If our GMs find proof of repeated discrimination, they will ban the responsible person - or might even ask the Master-GMs to ban him permanently.
The following ingame behaviour is NOT allowed.
1. Killstealing:
The attack on a monster which is already attacked or attracted by another character.
2. Looting:
The theft of loot which is dropped by a monster the thief didn't attack at all.
3. Mobtraining:
The gathering of monsters and dragging them along in process to get them killed by a mass attack skill.
Definition:
- Mobbing of non-aggressive monsters:
you may gather a maximum of 5 non-aggressive monsters at the same time. This value is NOT affected by parties or guilds in any way.
- Mobbing of aggressive monsters:
you are allowed to mob aggressive monsters until another player complains about it. This player has to supply evidence that he has been endangered because of this mob, or that there are no monsters left on the map for being able to level normally. He/she may not complain about mobbing, just because the mobber is mobbing.
4. Skill abuse:
a) The usage of skills without any reason
b) The usage of skills against common sense
5. Insults / Cursing:
Personal affronts towards players or guilds.
6. Fraud / Trade abuse:
Fraud is the abuse of trade rules or the failure to comply with an obliging arrangement of any kind. Agreements have to be fully documented by screenshots.
Definition:
- Deal is deal (each player has to watch himself what he buys or sells under which condition)
- Misleading shopnames are forbidden
- Lent items have to be given back to their owners. This also includes guild equipment which is maintained by the guild leader.
- Written arrangements like tanking another player for items/zeny have to be fulfilled.
7. Discrimination:
Insulting of people in matters of their religious beliefs, nationality etc.
8. Botting:
The usage of additional tools that automatically activate skills and/or influence the actions of the character.
9. Spam / Flooding:
The fast and multiple repetition of emoticons/skills/sentences/mails which is annoying for other players.
10. Advertisement for PServers:
Offering of playing for free on an illegal private RO server.
11. e-bay Trades and other trades:
Trade of accounts/characters/items/zeny for real money or other goods. Trade of account/characters for Zeny or other ingame values is not allowed too.
12. Illegal names:
a) Names of guilds, parties, or characters / ranks with forbidden contents (sexual context, discrimination…)
b) Names with illegal characters
13. Abuse of others' accounts:
Hacking or otherwise getting hold of the password of any account and change things there without the knowledge of the respective owner.
14. 3rd Party Tools (botting: see above):
The usage of additional tools or the change of the original client in order to help the player to play the game more easily.
15. Hacked Clients:
Any change of the original euRO client.
16. Grief Play:
Playing against all rules of fairness.
17. WoE:
Exploiting of bugs or the usage of 3rd Party Tools in order to conquer or defend a castle in WoE.
18. EXPLOIT:
The exploitation of faulty game parameters or programming.
In the following thread, the rules are being illustrated with examples: LINK. Matters that are not included can nevertheless be regarded as one of the above-mentioned interdictions and therefore, you can get punished.
HACKING
(1) Hacking contains:
- Distribution of advertisement for private servers, hacking websites or hacking tools,
- Modification of the client,
- Usage of unapproved clients,
- Usage of bots,
- Knowing attendance at the usage of a bot,
- Knowing that someone uses a bot and not informing a GM,
- Running a private server,
- Distribution of any illegal software,
- Increasing the amount of items or zeny by using above-mentioned programs,
- Maintaining several accounts in order to avoid gettind banned, especially holding several trial accounts,
- Distribution of possibilities how to hack community or private websites,
- Distribution of security holes or bugs,
- Any other action that could disturb the proper operation of the server, the client, the websites and the servers they are linked to,
(2) All under (1) listed actions may result in legal tracing from our side. All accounts which are linked to it, will be frozen. Everyone who takes part in such actions will be sued from our side, because of data manipulation and other EDV-delicts WITHOUT RESPECT FOR THEIR AGE, DERIVATION, REASONS, BACKGROUND OR CAUSE. All information about those people will be forwarded to our legal department without prior warning!

2. IF YOU EVER DISTRIBUTE PORNOGRAPHIC CONTENTS IN OR THROUGH EURO-RO AND A CHILD OR ADOLESCENT SEES IT, WE WILL GIVE ALL INFORMATION WE HAVE ABOUT YOU TO THE NEXT POLICE STATION IN MUNICH, BAVARIA. IN THIS CONTEXT, THE PRONTERA TOURISM OFFICE DOESN'T JOKE AND WILL SUPPORT THE POLICE IN ORDER TO IMPRISON THE RESPONSIBLE PERSON FOR PROVIDING PORNOGRAPHICAL CONTENTS TO JUVENILES!
